Required Index Fund Investment Option

Request for Information

The Fair Disclosure for Retirement Security Act of 2009 (H.R. 1984) would require that all 401(k) plans offer at least one index fund in the plan’s investment options. An index fund is a passively managed mutual fund designed to match the performance of the entire U.S. equity market, bond market or a combination thereof.
